John’s Modern Cabins / Abandoned Place in Missouri
Established in 1931 as Bessie's Place, Eugene shot and killed his wife at the roadhouse in 1935. In 1950 John Dausch purchased the bar and cabin complex and renamed it John's Modern Cabins. After his death in 1970 the property was abandoned.
