Art’s Motel / Motel in Illinois
In 1937 Art McAnarney leased Hendrick's Brothers Cafe and the adjoining services station. He added a six cabin motel complex the following year. After a fire in 1952, McAnarney removed the second floor and expanded the restaurant. His sons inherited the property in 1957 and in 1960 transformed the motel into a modern 13 unit complex.
