Built by Kate Buckingham, in memory of her brother Clarence in 1927. the fountain was designed by Edward Bennett. and inspired by the fountains in Versailles (France). It is one of the largest fountains in the world with the center jet shooting 150 feet in the air.

There is an hourly show lasting for 20 minutes with a last daily show at 10 pm. (Only during summer months)

The fountain is located just south of Jackson Dr. inside Grant Park.
