Pasadena

Continue westbound on Colorado Blvd.

Turn left onto Arroyo Parkway (CA-110).

Follow it southbound.

Follow the Pasadena Freeway (CA-110).

The original 1926 alignment:
- Westbound on Colorado Blvd.
- Straight west at the intersection with Arroyo Pky. (CA-110).
- Turn left (=south) on Fair Oaks Ave.
- Straight across the Pasadena Fwy. (the 1940 alignment)
- Turn right (=west) onto Huntington Dr.
- Continue as Huntington Dr. turns south.
- Enter Los Angeles itself.
- At the split of huntington Dr., right onto Mission Rd.
- Shortly thereafter right (=west) onto N Broadway.
- Across I-5 (Golden State Fwy.).
- Across the Los Angeles River.
- Straight across Sunset Blvd (Cersar E. Chavez Ave).
- Original terminus at Broadway and 7th St. in downtown Los Angeles.

The 19XX-40 alignment:
- Westbound on Colorado Blvd.
- Straight west at the intersection with Arroyo Pky. (CA-110).
- Straight west at the intersection with Fair Oaks Ave.
- Cross the Arroyo Seco on a historical bridge that was built prior to Route 66 (1912).
- Turn left (=south) on Figueroa St.
- Rejoin Sunset Blvd. towards Santa Monica.
(today Figueroa St. is interrupted by the Pasadena Fwy. (CA-110))

Los Angeles

Follow the Pasadena Freeway (CA-110).

After 7 miles, use the far right lane

Exit at Santa Monica Blvd

From the off-ramp, turn left

Cross the freeway

Right onto Figueroa

One block later, right onto Sunset Blvd.

After 3 miles, turn left onto Manzanita Blvd.

Follow as it changes into Santa Monica Blvd.

West Hollywood

Continue on Santa Monica Blvd.

Beverly Hills

Continue on Santa Monica Blvd.

Santa Monica

Continue on Santa Monica Blvd.

Turn left on Lincoln Blvd. (Just after 9th St.)

Route 66 ends here at Olympic Blvd.

THE END

The above end is the real historic end, but it wouldn't be complete withot a visit the Will Rogers Plaque in the Palisades Park at the intersection of Santa Monica Blvd. and Ocean Ave. and a stretch of the legs on the Santa Monica Pier.
