Built in1971-1974
Visitors welcomeWelcome

Sears Tower was the highest building in the world when it was built till 1998. The definition of how high a building is (roof, spire, antenna, ...) makes for different categories nowadays, one of which Sears Tower still wins.

There is an observation deck called 'Skydeck' on on the 103rd floor out of 108 (or 110 depending how you count) floors. This Skydeck is reachable from the southern entrance on Jackson Blvd.

While built and named for the retailer, they do not occupy nor own the tower any longer due to failing growth expectations. There are many different tenants nowadays.

Finished in 1974, the building got occupied in 1973 already.

The building is located on the block between Adams St. and Jackson Blvd. and Wacker Dr. and Franklin St.
