The text on the dedication sign goes as:
"THIS SECTION OF ROUTE 66
IS DEDICATED TO THE
LEXINGTON BUSINESSES THAT
THROUGHOUT THE YEARS HAVE
SERVED THE CITIZENS OF
LEXINGTON AND THE MANY
TRAVELERS THAT HAVE PASSED
THROUGH OUR COMMUNITY ON
THIS HISTORIC ROAD".
