Tulsa's plans
Tulsa's Route 66 alignments have a master plan in the works.
26 miles of Route 66 are in the county. Tulsans kept a sales tax in place to finance this in their Vision 2005 package.
The details have a museum near the art-deco 11th street bridge over the Arkansas River, a themed street scaping for the entire 26 miles as well as restoring the Meadow Gold sign (and finding a home for it).

Themed street scaping is very scary as it permanently changes the feeling of the historic road.
