Route 66 pulse: it's back!
When you're on the road on old 66 in June and July, be on the lookout for the "Route 66 Pulse" a free newspaper available only on Route 66 in museums and gift shops in a limited 50,000 copy run.
The Route 66 Pulse was discontinued a while back, but is now being resurrected.
The National Park Service Route 66 Corridor program received funds from American Express to do research on the demographics of the people who travel the road. Together with Rudgers University the survey is being distributed by as an insert in the new Pulse. If you get hold of one of the copies, do fill it out and send it back in. You'll help gain understanding in the economics around travel on the Mother Road.

I can not wait for the new issue to arrive. I am hoping to meet up with Jim & Croc on their deliveries here in Springfield, IL. Plus, with the IL Assoc's motor tour this weekend it will be a prime time for roadies to pick up their copy early and mail back the enclosed survey.
