Along Route 66 web site

Postby Quinta Scott on Tue Feb 17, 2009 9:49 pm

Quinta Scott, author of Along Route 66 and photographer of Route 66: the Highway and its People with Susan Croce Kelly, is starting a new photography web site, http://www.alongroute66.com.

She has post images from both books. Images from Illinois, St. Louis, Missouri, and Oklahoma are up. She is working on Texas and will post images from New Mexico, Arizona, and California in the near future.

The photographs on this site were taken between 1979 and 1998. All are in black and white.

She has posted a few color images from Route 66 at http://www.quintascott.com.

Enjoyed looking at these pictures as I didn't start driving 66 until 2002. Quite a few changes from when these pictures were taken.

:D

Thank you for cruising Along Route 66, the web site.

Next time you travel the old road, take along the book, Along Route 66. It's a great read-aloud guide book.

I have surfed to the site and it is very nice. I had picked up your book Route 66: The Highway and its People a few weeks ago and I searched for a website shortly thereafter. I will have to get Along Route 66 as well.
