End of the Riviera?

Sad to see the impending demise of the venerable Riviera in Gardner, Illinois. It's been on 66 since the 20s. Owners Bob and Peggy Kraft have had it for over 30 years, but, in their mid-80s, getting too old to continue.

Tomorrow, Jan. 1st, is their last day. We visited last night and found the place packed and a line out the door. Good to see locals and 66-ers saying goodbye in such a major fashion.
